Letter of Resignation

Who grew up hearing quitters never win and winners never quit? If you grew up hearing that, how frequently did you really win and what was the average time to realize that win? Persistence and tenacity are strong qualities to possess. Drive and dedication that fuel your desire to achieve a particular outcome are ingredients that help you achieve success.

Are drive, dedication, persistence and tenacity all that are required to win? They sure are if you have years or decades to wait. The key ingredient that acts as a leavening agent to success is resigning. The resignation of a path or specific result might be what is needed to help you obtain the final vision. Learning the art of resignation allows you to see when the vision may not be the best destination. We waste so much time spinning our wheels, doing the same thing yet expecting different results. In reality what we need to do is resign what we are doing and do something different.

But we don’t. We don’t want to quit because quitters never win. We cannot let our system shut down. We have to learn how to resign and allow ourselves the satisfaction of writing a resignation letter to that thing we have been trying to accomplish without progress. Resigning will remove the weight that is dragging you down; it will free your mind and make you available for the real vision you are supposed to win.

Once you learn the art of resigning you will win. So I ask you this: what will you resign from today?
